3M Combines Label Business with Emtech Emulsion Technologies

Last month, 3M and Emtech Emulsion Technologies Inc. announced an agreement to combine Emtech and 3M's label business into a single 3M operating unit. As part of the agreement, 3M will acquire Emtech's assets; terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Star Packaging Prints Up to 10 Colors with New Nordmeccanica Press

In early May, Star Packaging Corp. announced the purchase of a new Nordmeccanica SprintFlex 10, "a state-of-the-art, 10-color, quick-change flexo press." According to the company, the new press will provide the converter the capacity to print up to a 28-in. repeat and 47-in. web width in up to 10 colors.
